¿QUÉ ES Y QUÉ SIGNIFICA HEEP?  – 3×3 HEEP

HEEP significa: Do it in the Park, is a clear intention to show, or to explain what happens or what represents the clue for all of us. In his day, we need to christen the tournament 3×3, and of course... it wasn’t about putting any name, we were looking for something that has real meaning.

Sants court is full of culture, of vindication or activism, we maintain and take care of the court, we play, friendships and contacts of all kinds are created (for work, studies and going to party etc), everything we do in the park! We’ll call it that, it’s our own culture.

Then, a few days later, talking to Ruben aka Filipy in this regard, I comment that, at NYC, Bobbito Garcia y Kevin Couliau were with a documentary called: Doin’ it the park: Pick-Up Basketball, NYC.

Then we started connecting and everything started to make more sense, considering what it explains and what the content of that documentary means.

3x3 HEEP is the association’s flagship event, an event with special urban features, the perfect sum between the feeling of the players/ace and the community that supports us.

A symbiosis full of energy, without preservatives or sweeteners, where players can play freely, without systematic ties...Pure streetball!

The tournament has become quite an event in the summer in our city, but especially for the neighborhood, from 10am to 11pm you can be enjoying the essence of the playground with more history of the country. Don’t let them tell you!
